1 John 2 | Because You Know Him
John provide a number of “tests” to his readers. “If we keep his commands”, “whoever keeps his word”, "whoever loves his brother and sister”. Are these “tests” of what it means to be a Christian like a school exam where it’s up to us to either pass of fail? Or are they more like a classification test, giving confidence, clarity and assurance to those who are already in the family of God that they are indeed known and loved by the Father?
